Final Book Selection is due this Wednesday!
Now that you all have had your library books for almost a week, you should have had a chance to take a look at it and decide if you want to keep with that book or choose another one. If you wish to change your book, Wednesday is the last day you may do so. Remember, November 9th is when the book talks are due. This time, you must do a recording. In person book talks will no longer be accepted. Please see me if you need help doing the recording. Do not wait until the last day to do this! :)

Book Talk Presentation Rubric
To grade your Book Talk Presentations, I will be using the following rubric:

Student is completely prepared and has obviously rehearsed.

Student seems pretty prepared but might have needed a couple more rehearsals.

The student is somewhat prepared, but it is clear that rehearsal was lacking.

Comprehension
|
It is clear student understands all major events and characters in the novel.
|
It is clear student understands most major events and characters in the novel.
|
Student understands little about the major events and characters in the novel.
|
Student does not understand major events and characters in the novel.

Content
|
Shows a full understanding of the topic. Discusses ALL aspects required according to checklist (title, author, summary, interesting part, characters, theme, opinion, and recommendation).

Shows a good understanding of the topic. Discusses most aspects required according to checklist (title, author, summary, interesting part, characters, theme, opinion, and recommendation)
